It appears that the Green Bay Packers’ world-class signalcaller and a Milwaukee Bucks co-owner will be playing a major role in a new golf tournament.
Golf Digest reports that Aaron Rodgers and Houston Rockets guard Chris Paul will hold a Ryder Cup-style event called “The Showdown.”
It will happen on June 27-28 at Mohegan Sun Golf Club in Connecticut.
“I couldn’t be more excited for ‘The Showdown’ this summer,” Rodgers said, according to Golf Digest.
“While the NFL and NBA are home to many of the greatest athletes in the world, a golf course is an entirely different battlefield. I am extremely passionate about golf, and look forward to assembling a team of the NFL’s top golfers to determine, once and for all, which league is truly top on the links.”
Rodgers is also a co-owner of the Milwaukee Bucks, after a transaction announced last week.
