MILWAUKEE – Former Milwaukee Brewers catcher and fan-favorite Jonathan Lucroy will officially retire from Major League Baseball as a mamber of the team.
The Brewers have announced that Lucroy will retire Saturday, August 6th at an afternoon press conference which will feature the 2022 Walk of Fame and Wall of Honor inductees.
That ceremony will take place prior to that night’s game against the Cincinnati Reds.
Lucroy will also be inducted into the Wall of Honor alongside Ryan Braun and Francisco “K-Rod” Rodriguez.
Prince Fielder will be enshrined on the Walk of Fame on Saturday as well.
I am really blessed and fortunate to play the game as long as I did. The Brewers were the biggest part of that for me. I’m grateful for the fans and everyone who supported me along the way. I can’t wait to see everyone on Saturday! https://t.co/6x4pDHOQaF
