MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Brewers are setting the standard for MLB teams, as they will reportedly keep all employees in baseball operations on-board this season, regardless if games are played.
According to ESPN’s Jeff Passan, all Brewers employees who work in baseball operations below director level will be paid in full for the season. Therefore, no one in that part of the operation will be furloughed.
Jon Heyman of MLB Network shared the report, specifying that the moves to keep paying staff involve scouting and player development.
Passan also reporting that both the Minnesota Twins and St. Louis Cardinals have committed to keeping their full baseball staffs on at full pay through at least the end of June. Haudricourt reports the Chicago Cubs are doing the same with their baseball operations employees.
