The Milwaukee Brewers are adding a relief pitcher with seven years experience to their roster, one who kept his ERA low near 3.00 in his time with the archrival Chicago Cubs.
As Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports and The Athletic reports:
Free-agent reliever David Phelps in agreement with #Brewers, pending physical, sources tell me and @PJ_Mooney.

Last year, Phelps pitched 41 games with the Toronto Blue Jays (17 appearances, 0-0 record, 3.63 ERA) and Chicago Cubs (24 appearances, 2-1 record, 3.18 ERA).
In total, he has pitched with the New York Yankees (2012-14), Miami Marlins (2015-17) and Seattle Mariners (2017). He has never had an ERA over 5.00 for a season.
