MILWAUKEE — Former Milwaukee Brewers infielder Hernan Perez will sign with the rival Chicago Cubs.
According to MLB Insider Jon Heyman, Perez will have a chance to make $2 million if he makes the big league club.

As of now, the Cubs infield, consists of David Bote, Kris Bryant, Ben Zobrist, Javier Baez, Ian Happ and top prospect Nico Hoerner.
Perez will have a great opportunity to make the roster as a second baseman, a position the Cubs have been searching to fill since last season.
The 28-year-old struggled last season, batting .228 with eight homers.
