The Milwaukee Brewers' Ryan Braun will be getting a little bit of unplanned rest before the 2019 Brewers season opener.
Journal Sentinel beat writer and WTMJ Brewers 360 contributor Tom Haudricourt says that Braun was supposed to join the Brewers for their two exhibition games in Montreal against the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday and Tuesday.
However, Haudricourt says that Braun did not have his passport with him to travel to Canada; hence, he will not be allowed to travel with the team.
The Brewers do not play in Toronto during the regular season, so such a repeat of a mistake will not happen this year for any games that truly count.
