KENOSHA CO. — Kenosha County residents can begin signing up for their COVID-19 vaccine if they fall under the 1A or 1B tier, health officials said Thursday.
Kenosha County Health Officer Dr. Jen Freiheit explains that Tier 1a is the only group eligible to get a vaccine right now. That group includes medical workers, long-term care residents and staff, and of this week, firefighters and law enforcement officers.
As far as tier 1B goes, no official date has been announced, but you can still sign-up if you are 65 years or older, a frontline essential workers, work in the agricultural industry, grocery stores, USPS, manufacturing, public transit, education and child care.
The state has yet to finalize category 1B classifications, however those groups are expected to be included.
