Reports say the Kohl Center will not host the WIAA Boys state basketball tournament. But it does not necessarily mean there will be no state tournament.
Per Lance Allan of TODAY’S TMJ4:
The @wiaawi issues a statement saying the @UWMadison Kohl Center will not host the state boys basketball tournament. And if the girls tournament will continue in Green Bay. More decisions to come: #wisbb #wisgb pic.twitter.com/2j3dqc6Rb0

Per Art Kabelowsky of Madison.com:
UW will NOT allow the Kohl Center to host the WIAA boys basketball tournament. They said it was “cancelled,” but it’s up to the WIAA to state whether they won’t play or whether they will find another location. Also, will they continue with sectionals in the wake of this news?

MADISON, Wis. (AP) – The Wisconsin state boys basketball tournament is the latest event to be affected by the coronavirus.
The University of Wisconsin says general admission tickets won’t be available for the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association tournament March 19-21 at the Kohl Center.
The games will be played and teams will be allotted a limited number of tickets per their rosters.
The university says the decision to go ahead with the competition without general admission fans was made in consultation with local and state public health officials.
They recommend limiting large gatherings on campuses in light of COVID-19.
According to the World Health Organization, people with mild illness recover in about two weeks.
