A short week, a long trip, a good opponent, and COVID-19 cases.
That’s what the Packers faced this week as they prepared for their game against the San Fransisco 49ers.
“2020, man,” joked head coach Matt LaFleur. “You just gotta learn to adjust and keep your head on a swivel and be ready to adapt at all times. That’s just the circumstances that we’re all living in right now. Nobody likes it, but it is what it is. You gotta make the best of it and make sure we do everything in our power to prepare to the best of our ability.”
Even though the competitive balance has been severely compromised for both teams, the show must go on!
“I expect a physical football game. I think the team that is the most disciplined, the team that takes care of the ball the best, the more physical team is going to win this game. Certainly, it is a great test for us. We gotta see how resilient we are as a football team. We’re facing a little bit of adversity, but how do we respond in those adverse times. I think that will speak volumes to who we are as mean and the character of our football team.”
