He caught passes as a wide receiver for three years with the Green Bay Packers. Now, Ruvell Martin will set a course in Green Bay which he hopes will lead to a life calling as an NFL coach.
The Packers announced that Martin will become the first to join the coaching staff through a new minority coaching fellowship, a one-year full-time position “for young and aspiring minority coaches.”
Martin will assist wide receivers during the 2020 season.
He played with the Packers from 2006-08, starting nine of 41 games with the Packers. He caught 52 passes for 749 yards and six touchdowns.
