The first of Saturday’s six scheduled selections for the Green Bay Packers in the NFL Draft is someone who can take over for the departed Blake Martinez and Kyler Fackrell.
They chose Kamal Martin, an inside linebacker from Minnesota, with the 175th pick in the NFL Draft.
At 6’3″, 240 lbs., he showed some promise with the Gophers, but was projected as a free agent by NFL.com’s Lance Zuerlein.
“Angular linebacker with decent straight-line twitch who takes too long to diagnose and flow, making him a viable block for climbing linemen,” said Zuerlein in his scouting report.
