The Green Bay Packers are reportedly adding a new protector for quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
The Packers are set to sign Lions free agent offensive tackle Rick Wagner, according to NFL Network.
Wagner, a former Wisconsin Badger, has seven years on his NFL resume, four with the Baltimore Ravens and the last three with the Detroit Lions.
He has started every game he played except one in the last six seasons.
He suffered a knee injury last season, leading him to miss four games.
The underlying question: Does this mean the departure of one of the anchors of the Packers’ offensive line, right tackle Bryan Bulaga?
Bulaga has been a Packer since 2010, having played nine years with the Packers. He missed 2013 with injury.
Bulaga has started every game he played since 2011 with Green Bay, but he has accumulated a long injury list despite playing.
