The Packers confirmed Wednesday they are adding a longtime assistant coach to their defensive leadership team.
The Packers say they have added Jerry Gray as defensive backs coach.
Gray served 2014-19 with the Minnesota Vikings, tutoring All-Pro cornerback Xavier Rhodes and safety Harrison Smith. In that span, the Vikings ranked second in points per game allowed, and seventh in opponent passer rating.
Gray was also a defensive coordinator with the Buffalo Bills (2001-05) and Tennessee Titans (2011-13) while also coaching defensive backs with the Titans (1999-2000), Washington (2006-09) and Seattle (2010).
He played in the NFL from 1985-93 and earned four Pro Bowl selections (1986-89) with the Los Angeles Rams.
