Happy anniversary, Matt LaFleur.
On January 8th, 2019, Matt LaFleur was hired as head coach of the Green Bay Packers.
One year later, and the 13-3 Packers are preparing for their divisional round playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks.
So what’s changed?
“I think he’s got the locker room,” says WTMJ’s Greg Matzek.
“And I think that was a problem last year, it seemed divided. And that’s not only a Aaron Rodgers/ Mike McCarthy thing, that was other players I talked to in the locker room. It just seemed like some cliques had developed, and it wasn’t ‘one for all, all for one.’ There was finger-pointing and blaming going on.”
Matzek says a shift can certainly be felt around the team: “It’s been different this year.”
“Just a different vibe in the locker room. A culture change I think was necessary, and it’s happened.”
