Jody Nelson will officially end his NFL career in Titletown.
The former Packers wide receiver tells WIBW-TV he intends to return to Green Bay in August and sign a one-day contract to retire a Packer.
“We haven’t pin pointed the date yet,” Nelson told WIBW. “We wanted to get our family back to Kansas and allow the kids to be able to make it up there. So that is the plan is to go up there in August, during training camp, sign the one-day deal, retire as a Green Bay Packer, and move on from there.”
Nelson played nine seasons in Green Bay. He spent 2018 in Oakland playing for the Raiders.
He finishes his career with 613 receptions, 8,587 yards and 72 touchdowns.
