Apparently, there was a middle-fingered insult added to Aaron Rodgers’ injury when Anthony Barr of the Minnesota Vikings broke his collarbone.
While on Conan O’Brien’s show Thursday, the Packers’ all-world quarterback described the give-and-take between himself and the Vikings’ linebacker whose unpenalized hit after a Rodgers throw in their game on October 15th caused the injury that could end Rodgers’ season.
“I looked over at him as I was walking off the field,” Rodgers said. “Cameras caught me saying something to him but what they missed was him (giving me the) finger, ‘suck it’ sign.”
Rodgers could be seen having words with Barr after the play. No penalty was called, despite Barr driving Rodgers into the ground at least a second after the throw.
Rodgers is now on injured reserve and could return on Dec. 17 vs. the Carolina Panthers, but he is unsure his collarbone will be able to heal quickly enough to play at all this season.
