Bucks In 6:00

Welcome to Bucks In 6:00 — WTMJ’s home for continuing coverage of the Milwaukee Bucks’ 2023 postseason run. Here, you’ll find six-minute recaps from every game the Bucks play in the Playoffs this year.

BUCKS VS. HEAT GAME 5: Milwaukee Bucks collapse late, become sixth No. 1 seed to lose in the first-round

A phenomenal regular season for the Milwaukee Bucks was overshadowed by a daunting first-round series against a Miami Heat club that became the sixth No. 8 seed to upset a No. 1 seed during a 128-126 overtime loss in Game Five.

The Bucks were in the driver’s seat through the third quarter, but Miami outscored the Bucks 32-16 in the fourth quarter to force overtime. Heat star Jimmy Butler hit a surreal floater with 0.5 seconds left in regulation to force overtime.

BUCKS VS. HEAT GAME 4: Bucks fall behind 3-1 to Heat as Butler overcomes Giannis’ return

Despite leading through parts of the game, the Milwaukee Bucks gave up Game Four of their first-round series against the Miami Heat, putting the No. 1 seed on the brink of elimination. While it was a rough loss, Giannis had a triple-double in his return and Brook Lopez bounced back in a big way.

BUCKS VS. HEAT GAME 3: Bucks lose control of paint & glass during Game Three defeat in Miami

The Milwaukee Bucks lost their footing as they left the comforts of their home court for Game Three of the first-round series vs. the Miami Heat and fell 121-99.

Milwaukee unlocked a new way to win in Game Two by dominating in the paint to unlock the 3-point line. This time around, Miami put a clear emphasis on controlling the margin of points in the paint, outscoring the Bucks by 12 at the basket.

BUCKS VS. HEAT GAME 2: Milwaukee ties NBA Playoff record for 3s, steps up to win without Giannis

A knack for overcoming adversity is a necessity for any team that considers itself a championship contender, so naturally, the Milwaukee Bucks tied the NBA Playoff record for 3s (25) in a 138-22 victory over the Miami Heat without Giannis Antetokounmpo in the lineup.

BUCKS VS. HEAT GAME 1: Giannis hurts back as Heat shoot their way to a Game 1 win in Milwaukee

Despite significant contributions from Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday and Bobby Portis, the Milwaukee Bucks were unable to overcome the lower back injury suffered by Giannis Antetokounmpo in the first quarter of the 130-117 loss to the Miami Heat in game one of their first-round Eastern Conference matchup. WTMJ Sports Director Greg Matzek has the breakdown for April 16, 2023.
